Itinerary

1. Day 1: Colombo-Sigiriya

   • Pick up from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo by the tour guide.
   • Pass through Habarana and arrive at Sigiriya.
   • Check-in at the hotel at Sigiriya and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

2. Day 2: Sigiriya-Anuradhapura-Sigiriya

   • Pick up from the hotel in Sigiriya and travel to the sacred city of Anuradhapura, the centre of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries.
     Discover the well-preserved ruins of an old Sri Lankan civilization in this ancient capital of Sri Lanka.
   • Visit Thuparamaya, the first pagoda built in Sri Lanka, which enshrines the collarbone of the Lord Buddha. 
   • Continue to Lovamahapaya, also known as the Brazen Palace, located between the Ruwanvaliseya and Sri Maha Bodhiya.
   • Discover Mihintale, a mountain peak near Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, believed to be the site of meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa.

3. Day 3: Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa

   • Pick up from the hotel and travel to the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. 
   • Continue to Polonnaruwa, the second most ancient Sri Lankan kingdom.
   • Discover the remains of this ancient city that is said to be one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom’s first rulers.

4. Day 4: Sigiriya-Dambulla Rock Cave Temple-Kandy

   • Pick up from the hotel in Sigiriya and travel to Kandy.
   • Stop by Dambulla Rock Cave Temple on the way. 
   • Explore a spice garden and a batik factory before arriving in Kandy, where you’ll check-in at a hotel.
   • Enjoy a performance of Kandyan dance at the hotel and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

5. Day 5: Kandy City Tour

   • Pick up from the hotel and start the sightseeing tour of Kandy.
   • Walk through the city's ancient streets and discover the architectural highlights of the city.
   • Shop for some souvenirs at a local shop.

6. Day 6: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya

   • Pick up from the hotel in Kandy and travel to Nuwara Eliya.
   • Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens on the way.
   • Pass through Victoria Park, Gregory Lake and a tea factory en route. 
   • Arrive at Nuwara Eliya and check-in at the hotel. 
   • Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel.

7. Day 7: Nuwara Eliya-Tissamaharama

   • Pick up from the hotel in Nuwara Eliya and travel to Tissamaharama.
   • Visit the Ravana waterfalls on the way. 
   • Arrive at Tissamaharama and check-in at a hotel.
   • Freshen up and then leave for a jeep safari tour in Yala National Park.

8. Day 8: Tissamaharama-Mirissa

   • Pick up from the hotel in Tissamaharama and travel to Mirissa.
   • Visit Hambantota Salt Pans and interact with the stilt fisherman at Weligama en route.
   • Discover the Galle Dutch Fort.
   • Arrive at Mirissa and check-in at a hotel.

9. Day 9: Mirissa Whale & Dolphin Watching Tour

   • Pick up from the hotel in Mirissa and go on a whale and dolphin watching tour.
   • Spot blue whales, Bryde´s whales, sperm whales, fin whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, killer whales along with spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins, and striped dolphins in the warm waters around Sri Lanka.

10. Day 10: Mirissa-Bandaranaike International Airport

    • Pick up from the hotel in Mirissa and travel to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
    • Depart from Colombo.
