Itinerary

1. Day 1: Knuckles Mountain Range

   • Be escorted from your hotel in Kandy by your Knuckles Mountain Range tour guide.  

   • Explore the Tea Trail as you trek up the hill to the silent forest area, passing gravel rocky paths and bush forest. 

   • See a silent large rocky plateau and walk with a peak view.

   • Walk through the evergreen dwarf forest, containing endemic creepers and cane bamboo. 

   • Enjoy your picnic lunch. 

   • Proceed to the eastern slope. The circular trek will be on the large rocky plateau. 

   • Trek downhill to the exclusive base camp. 

   Overnight stay below the Knuckles footstep in the east slope in an exclusive base camp with all facilities. 

2. Day 2: Knuckles Camping Site

   • Kick start your day with a delicious breakfast at the camping site.

   • Trek downhill to the tea plantation and enjoy the view from the viewpoint.

   • Enter the high forest full of cloud trees, pine, eucalyptus and turpentine trees. You can see birds, small animals, and butterflies during trekking.

   • Swim in the crystal, albeit slightly chilly, water. 

   • Walk through the magical terrace rice fields as you enter the traditional village. On the way, see vegetable gardens and spice gardens.

   • In the village, you can enjoy an authentic lunch.

   • Trek back to the Knuckles camping site.

   • Enjoy your dinner at the camping site.

3. Day 3: Knuckles Nature Pool

   • Start your last trek on this tour with breakfast at the camping site.

   • Explore Tea Estate trails with a view of the peak and see birds, small animals and butterflies.

   • Cross the waterfall & natural pool en-route.  

   • Walk through magical terrace rice fields to enter the traditional village.

   • Witness blooming vegetable gardens and farmers working on the paddy field.  

   • Be back at the hotel around the evening. The exact time depends on the hotel location and traffic on the way.
