Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival and Knuckles Mountain Trek

   • Meet your tour guide at your accommodation in Kandy. 
   • Make your way to the Knuckles Mountain Range with your guide. 
   • Trek uphill on the Tea Trail across gravel paths and bush forests till you reach the beautiful Silent Forest area. Cross wooden bridges, spotting endemic flora & fauna as you trek further. Climb through the evergreen dwarf cloud forests, keeping an eye out for endemic creepers and cane bamboo.
   • Enjoy your picnic lunch at a scenic waterfall with a natural pool or the mountain peak.
   • Start your downhill trek to the eastern slope until you reach the base camp. Rest overnight at the camp.

2. Day 2: Knuckles Mountain Trekking and Village Excursion

   • Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the camping site. 
   • Trek downhill to a tea plantation, and you enjoy panoramic views of misty forests full of pine, eucalyptus and turpentine trees. Observe birds, small animals, and butterflies.
   • Marvel at a waterfall en route and swim in the crystal clear water of its natural pool.
   • Walk through magical terrace rice fields and enter a traditional local village, where you will see vegetable and spice gardens.
   • Interact with the villagers and learn about their culture while enjoying an authentic lunch in the village.
   • Return to Kandy in the evening.
