Day 01: Airport - Sigirya
- Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up at Colombo Airport and transfer you to Sigiriya. Check-in at the hotel.
- Sigiriya is a world-famous tiny village as it's home to "Sigiriya rock," which's one of the 09 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. This is an essential destination for every Sri Lankan trip. This 200m massive granite rock used to be a capital of an ancient Sri Lankan kingdom 1500yrs ago. As you step into Sigiriya Rock, you'll be amazed by the beautiful Sigiriya frescoes depicting the beautiful Lankan women back then. See the Mirror Wall providing an outlook of ancient poetry. Moreover, you will be amazed to witness one of the world's ancient water gardens in the world which's still functioning. This's a wonder about the ancient minds at work. Sigiriya fortress is a captivating masterpiece of ancient urban planning, landscape and architecture.
- Go for an evening hike to Pidurangala Rock to see the sunset.

Day 02: Sigiriya Sightseeing
- Have breakfast in the morning. Around 7.30 O’clock, we will take you for a 10min drive towards Sigiriya Rock. This hike will take a minimum of 2.5hrs-3hrs. You’ll be guided by our professional licensed tour guide for the entire hike. Hence you’ll gain so much knowledge about this World Heritage Site.
- Go for the Sigiriya village tour, which is a highlight activity that happens in Sigiriya Village. Start by riding a bullock cart, which’s the 1st vehicle in Sri Lanka.
- Come to a massive man-made reservoir where we do a catamaran ride across the reservoir and reach the village houses located away. It’s a wonderful ride where we see a wide variety of birds, lizards, and beautiful lotus plants and, indeed, can take some amazing pictures of the Sigiriya Rock. This awesome catamaran ride will end at the end of the reservoir, where we meet the village houses and the people. These traditional village houses are thatched with coconut leaves.
- Spend some time in the houses while seeing some traditional village activities, and later we will enjoy a traditional tasty rice and curry lunch.
- Then, we will return to our starting point with an awesome tuk-tuk ride.
(After a day full of lots of activities, we’ll be getting a relaxing Traditional Ayurvedic Massage at a treatment center located close to Sigiriya. {Optional})

Day 03: Sigiriya - Kandy
- Check out after breakfast and transfer to Kandy. En route, visit Dambulla Cave Temple. The temple was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st c.bc, and it is another World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000sq meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of Buddha, and you'll feel you're witnessing a Buddha Statue factory, which dates back to 2000yrs. The largest is a Reclining Statue of Buddha, which is carved out of living rock and spans 14 meters.
- Visit the Spice Garm at Matale. Sri Lanka has always been renowned for its spices. Sri Lankans use spices for traditional medicine purposes as well as in cuisines. Many of our spices are traded in the international spice market. Cinnamon especially is endemic to Sri Lanka, and the highest quality 'true cinnamon' can be obtained here. Visit to a spice garden in Matale is ideal for seeing the different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. Here, clients see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Have lunch.

Day 04: Sightseeing in Kandy
- Have breakfast and proceed to visit the Tooth Temple of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lanka's Kings before being brought under British rule in 1815. Kandy is a World Heritage City, surrounded by mountains (500m ABSL). The city of Kandy is home to the most sacred Buddhist shrine in Srilanka. The Tooth Temple of Kandy housed a Tooth Relic of Gautama Buddha. It's the best place to witness the people's strong culture and beliefs. So we'll visit this shrine during the morning puja time at 9.30 O'Clock.
- Visit the biggest Peradeniya Botanical Garden (64 hectares) in Sri Lanka. This stunning garden was once reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. Today, people are allowed to enjoy this most impressive garden. Highlights include a fine collection of orchids, a stately avenue of royal palms, the extraordinary aptly named cannonball fruit tree and 40m-hight Burma bamboo. Another big hit is the giant Java fig tree on the great lawn, with its trunk and umbrella-like canopy of branches.
- End the day with Kandy Cultural Show. In the evening, we'll be stepping to the beat of traditional music and drumming, amplified by a cultural show enhancing the vibrant culture of the Wonder of Asia, Sri Lanka.

Day 05: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
- Have breakfast and transfer to Ella via Nuwara Eliya. Enroute, visit the Tea Factory. Nuwara Eliya is home to growing Sri Lanka’s world-reputed “Ceylon Tea”. Hence Enroute to this beautiful city, we’ll be able to see so much beautiful tea plantations, and we’ll visit a tea factory to learn how within just 24hrs tea leaves can make a tasty cup of tea.
- Then, reach the “Little England”. Do a short walk around this beautiful city, and then we’ll drive to Nuwara Eliya [Nanu Oya] Railway Station to board the train to Ella. This experience is one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. This modern-day popular railway system was introduced to Sri Lanka by the British in 1864.

Day 06: Ella Sightseeing
- Enjoy breakfast and go trekking to visit the Nine Arch Bridge. Ella has become one of the most popular travel destinations within the country for both locals and foreigners. The beauty lies in the number of hiking and trekking activities this city has to offer. In fact, Ella is the last mountain destination we'll meet during our tour. The Nine Arch Bridge is a live railway bridge that was built back in 1921 by the British without using any single piece of steel. Moreover, this's one of the most photogenic places in Sri Lanka.
- Come to Grand 39 Hotel to meet Chef Hiran and join us for an informative cooking class. Here You'll find out more about Sri Lankan cooking and also enjoy a tasty lunch prepare by yourself.
- End the day by hiking the famous Little Adams Peak. The panoramic view from the top of this mountain is stunning. This's a 1hr:45min round trip.
- Meet the adventurous activities operator and have the opportunity to do a Zip line ride, ATV bike rides or many other adventurous things.

Day 07: Transfer to Mirissa
- Have breakfast, check out, and transfer to Mirissa.
- Enroute safari @Udawalawe National Park. You have been patiently waiting for these adventures in your Sri Lanka itinerary. And finally, it is the day! Udawalawe National Park is one of the most loved Sri Lanka attractions for its jungle ride full of excitement, and it is never an option to miss on your Sri Lanka tour. In fact, Sri Lanka is recognized as one of the best countries in the world to do wild safari after Africa. Here we can see the gigantic elephants, crocodiles and different species of vibrant birds hovering on tree branches chattering as you arrive.
- Reach Mirissa. There are plenty of things to do in Mirissa while you’re enjoying the beach. Snorkelling, scuba diving, and surfing are a few of those and don’t forget to take an Instagram-worthy snap in the famous Coconut tree spot.

Day 08: Whale and Dolphin Watching Tour in Mirissa
- Witness the biggest animal on the planet. Early morning at 6 O’Clock, collect your breakfast packet provided by the hotel and proceed to the harbour and enjoy an early morning whale and dolphin watching tour. (Optional)
- Return to the hotel and leisurely spend the day at Mirissa.

Day 09: Transfer to Galle
- Have breakfast, check out, and transfer to Galle. Enroute, visit a Turtle Farm. Turtles Farm or the Conservation Projects are a frequent sight on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. Out of the seven different varieties of Turtles in the world, five can be seen in Sri Lanka. These farms are like Turtles hospital. They treat and protect the turtles who are brought here after being caught in fishing nets or with disabilities, inborn defects, etc.
- Go for an evening walk inside the Galle Fort. Galle is the capital of South Sri Lanka. It’s another colonial City where we find the World Heritage Galle Fort. Portuguese are the ones who built this massive fortress in 15th C.AD to protect the natural harbour in Galle and gained the Silk Sea Route governance to their custody. Later in the 16th and 17th C.AD, it was the Dutch and the British who were controlling the Fortress territory.
