Itinerary

1. Day 1: Land in Colombo

   • Arrive at Colombo International Airport and meet your tour guide.

   • Check into the hotel for overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Explore Habarana

   • Proceed on an excursion to Habarana after an early breakfast.

   • Visit the Minneriya National Park which is known for its incredible elephant migration, which is one of Asia’s finest wildlife experiences. Enjoy an afternoon jeep safari in the beautiful Park. 

   • Make your way to Sigiriya and check-in for an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Visit Sigiriya & Dambulla

   • Start your day by climbing the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

   • Enjoy sightseeing in the beautiful Sigiriya Village.

   • Explore the Dambulla Cave Temple which is one of the most best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka after lunch.

   • Proceed to Kandy after sightseeing Dambulla City.

   • Discover a spice garden on your way to Kandy.

   Stay the night in a hotel in Kandy.

4. Day 4: Discover Kandy

   • After a hearty breakfast, visit the following sites in Kandy:
     • The Sacred Temple of the Tooth, Buddhist temples, and Hindu shrines
     • Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue, a statue of Buddha in the seated Nirvana pose that can be seen from the entire city of Kandy. 
     • Kandy View Point, Peradeniya Botanic Gardens, and Kandyan dancing show.

   Retire to the hotel for the night in Kandy. 

5. Day 5: Discover Nuwara Eliya

   • Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of the tea country in the morning. 

   • Enjoy beautiful scenery, tea carpeted hills and high country vegetation along with misty hills and Emerald Tea gardens. Visit the Ramboda waterfall, Macwood’s Tea Factory & Tea centre on the way.

   • Explore the Strawberry Farms, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, and many more sites in Nuwara Eliya.

   • Have a sumptuous lunch in Nuwara Eliya.

   • After, lunch head to the Hakkgala Botanical Gardens which are famous for its rose collection and fernery. There are over 10,000 species of flora and during the spring season in Nuwara Eliya thousands of visitors come to see the blooms here.

   Overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya. 

6. Day 6: Visit Ella

   • Leave for Ella in the morning.

   • Discover the mountain village and stunning scenery on a full-day hiking tour to Ella.

   • Experience Ella Gap from the top of both Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak and visit 9 Arch Bridge, one of the iconic bridges in Sri Lanka.

   Overnight stay at the hotel in Ella.

7. Day 7: Explore Galle & Hikkaduwa

   • Make your way to Galle, the 17th century Dutch fortified city in the morning.

   • Enjoy sightseeing in Galle till afternoon.

   • Proceed to Hikkaduwa after lunch. Hikkaduwa is a small coastal town in the south situated 99 km south of Colombo. Its beach and nightlife make it a popular tourist destination. Hikkaduwa Coral Sanctuary - located a few hundred metres offshore can be viewed through Glass Bottomed Boats. The sanctuary has approximately seventy varieties of multi-coloured corals.

   • Spend rest of the day leisurely.

   Overnight stay at the hotel in Hikkaduwa. 

8. Day 8: Visit Hikkaduwa

   • Spend a day of leisurely in the Hikkaduwa Beach. Enjoy sandy beach with many reasonable bars and restaurants. You can also indulge in surfing and other activities. 

   Retire to the hotel for the night in Hikkaduwa. 

9. Day 9: Sightseeing in Colombo

   • Leave for Colombo in the morning and revel in the glory of Dutch architecture which is very much evident in the Fort & Pettah.

   • Visit the historical places and other monuments like a lighthouse in the middle of the city, Galle Face Green, Old Dutch Hospital, Gangaramaya Temple, National Museum, National Art Gallery, The Craft Village, Zoological Gardens, Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya, the famous Cricket Club, nightclubs and casinos.

   • Make your way to the airport for your return flight.
