Seoul Palaces, Traditions, and Market Sights
- Pick-up from your hotel. First, visit Gyeongbok Palace, the main and biggest palace of the Joseon dynasty, dating back to the 14th century, and watch the Changing Guard Ceremony. On Tuesdays, visit Changdeok Palace instead, without the Changing Guard Ceremony. It is the most well-preserved palace and looks the most naturally deployed.
- Then continue to Bukchon Hanok Village, the Korean traditional house conservation area.
- Visit Jogyesa Buddhist Temple, the headquarters of the Jogye sect. In Korea, a temple is like a park.
- Walk through Insa-dong culture street to understand Korean life.
- Enjoy window shopping at Namdaemun Market.
- Head to the Han River, Banpo Bridge, and Seom Sevit to get some fresh air.
- Drop-off at your hotel.
