  • Ulsan was elevated to a city when designated as a specific industrial zone in 1962 and became a metropolitan city in 1997. As Korea's largest industrial cluster for automotive, shipbuilding, maritime, and petrochemical industries, Ulsan records an annual export of approximately USD 57 billion.
  • Yeongnam Alps consist of 9 peaks above 1000 m above sea level and display attractive scenery throughout the four seasons. The mountains offer visitors a splendid view in spring, especially as the royal azalea habitat paints the slopes red. There are many passes at the foot and ridge of each mountain. It is a popular silver grass habitat and the only place around Busan and Ulsan where you can see a sea of clouds. It offers various attractions, including different festivals and events.
