Itinerary

1. Day 1: Sunrise at Angkor Wat & Main Temples

   • Begin your day with a sunrise visit to Angkor Wat with a local guide.
   • Climb to the top of Angkor Wat for panoramic views (if you dare).
   • Return and find somewhere for breakfast.
   • Explore the main temples including Bayon, famous for the four faces, and Angkor Thom.
   • Learn about the historical evolution of the Khmer kingdom and temple construction with your guide.
   • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to take a break from the midday sun.
   • Visit Ta Prohm, still largely consumed by jungle.
   • Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
   • Experience a traditional Khmer dinner and dance show for evening entertainment.

2. Day 2: Phnom Kulen & Beng Mealea

   • Travel to Old Khmer City and Phnom Kulen (Kulen Hill / Mahendraparvata).
   • Stop at the cliff viewpoint for photo Opportunities 
   • Visit the sacred reclining Buddha & footprint and see ancient carvings along the riverbed (depending on water level).
   • Cool off at Phnom Kulen Waterfall and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
   • Continue to Peung Tbal, an impressive site of sandstone bas-reliefs (short forest trek required).Rock Art Sanctuary 
   • Visit the hidden jungle temple of Beng Mealea, rediscovered by the French in 1860.
   • Drive back to Siem Reap and relax at your hotel.
