Description
Embark on this short 2-day religious tour to see the magnificent sight of the ancient Angkor Wat and other important temples. Visit the stunning Ta Prohm, the Preah Khan and Banteay Samre temples. Also, admire the historical capital city of Angkor Thom and be amazed by the ancient architecture of Siem Reap.
Itinerary

Day 1- Angkor Wat - Angkor Thom - Ta Prohm
In the early morning, meet your guide at 4:40 to go to Angkor Wat for sunrise views. This religious complex is regarded as one of the largest monuments in the world with the masterpiece of scriptures of Hinduism legends that belonged to one of seven finest world heritages on the earth.
Continue to see the Angkor Thom south gate, the last city of the ancient Khmer empire.
Next, continue to see the Bayon Temple with faces on 4 sides of towers for Maha Yana Buddhism.
Walk straight to see the Elephant & Leper King Terrace and Sur Prot within the complex of Angkor Thom.
Continue to the area outside of Angkor Thom to see the Ta Nie as built by Jayavarman VII. This temple was dedicated to his ancestor. This Buddhist monastery has a lot of giant trees grow on its roof and enclosures. One can also hear plenty of natural songs from birds and insects here.
Then, it will be time for lunch and rest at around 12:00 pm.
Get to the Ta Prohm temple on the circuit road. This was where the Hollywood film "Tomb Raider" was shot (a few scenes).
On the way back to the hotel, stop at the Kravan for its brick towers of the 9th century.
Return to the hotel.

Day 2- Preah Parilay- Neak Pean- Bonteay Samre- Pre Rup
At 8:00, visit the Preah Palilay and head to Preah Khan temple, built by King Jayavarman VII and dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly exportable monastic complex and also served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks.
Continue to see Neak Pean, a small island temple located in the middle of the last Barray constructed by a Khmer King.
Next, stop for lunch on the way to Banteay Srei, which is made of pink carving sandstones and pink laterite with the best delicate decoration.
After that, drive to see the Banteay Samre temple. This is a less crowded temple that includes inscriptions of many Hindu images on frontage sand Lintels.
Proceed to see the sunset at Pre Rup temple with 5 brick towers about 50 meters in height.
Return to the hotel after all the sightseeing.
