Sightseeing in Petra
- Arrive at the Petri Visitors Center and meet with your guide.
- Walk from the Petra Archaeological Park main gate to the entrance of the Siq, a dramatic rock canal that leads to the city by starting from the Dam and ending at the Treasury, through the Obelisk Tomb and Bab As-Siq Triclinium, a burial complex unique for its Nabataean architecture.
- Travel to The Treasury, also known as Al Khazanah, one of the most elaborate temples in the ancient city of Petra, whose structure was carved out of a sandstone rock face.
- Visit the Roman Theatre, a first century AD Nabataean theatre situated in the center of Petra whose substantial part was carved out of solid rock, the Royal Tombs, a large burial chamber that consists of a dozen tombs of the Nabatean Kings, and the Royal Court.
- Halt at the Petra Basin restaurant to have lunch.
- Hike to the Monastery, a hidden high in the hills, is one of the legendary monuments of Petra. It has a similar architecture as the Treasury but is far bigger in size.
