6-Hour Itinerary: Jerash and Ajloun from Amman
- Begin the journey by departing from Amman at 8:00 AM.
Get picked up from your accommodation or a designated meeting point in the city.
Drive for approximately 45 minutes to reach the ancient Roman city of Jerash.
Explore the archaeological site of Jerash, including the impressive Oval Plaza, the colonnaded Cardo Maximus, the Roman theaters, the temples, and Hadrian’s Arch.
Spend about 1.5 to 2 hours discovering the ruins and taking photographs of the historical landmarks.
Choose to have lunch in Jerash at a local restaurant (optional and at your own expense).
Depart Jerash and drive for approximately 30 minutes to reach Ajloun.
Visit Ajloun Castle (Qal'at ar-Rabad), a 12th-century Islamic fortress built by the forces of Saladin.
