I was lucky to be born in Sicily: a beautiful sun-kissed island with an extraordinary landscape of tall mountains, vast coastal plains and inland valleys.It is full of history, folk traditions and a large variety of food.It is completely different from any place else in Europe.
Despite all this, I decided to move to Ireland as soon as I finished university.I spent two years there because I wanted to experience life outside of my country.Yet when I would come back to Sicily, I always felt extremely happy.I had a good job, good friends and a good life in Ireland, but I was still missing something.So I came back to Sicily to contribute something to my home country. I have always been interested in travelling and been attracted to other cultures and languages, I started the job as a tour guide/tour leader in 2010 because I was interested in learning about it, but right away it felt like the vocation for me.I like showing travellers the uniqueness of my country and especially enjoy introducing them to the warm, helpful and sociable sicilian people. If you decide to join me in Palermo, italian capital of culture 2018, I will show you its beauties and some of the charming villages you can find in the coastal area in the province of Palermo.
