Objective 

The TOUR ESCORT/GUIDE plays a major role in tourism industry as he spends more time with tourists than anybody else.  A tour escort/guide is a person who lead the tourists around the town, museum or other tourist venues.Considerable importance is placed on the guide’s knowledge of local stories, history and culture depending on the location of the tour. 

My objective as a Tour Escort/Guide is to give premium service to the tourists.I should receive them as guests and send them as friends.I would like to pass on my knowledge and passion for the Indian tourism to visitors, ensuring they have the opportunity to experience the best our country has to offer and to promote sustainable, environment friendly tourism with enthusiasm.

Tour Escort/Guide 

I am a freelance tour guide approved by India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, New Delhi of 1996 batch.  However, I surrendered my licence as I was working with Air India.I have now been superannuated.After  undergoing a refresher course I have been reissued my  Licence  by India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, New Delhi.I have worked with agencies like Le Passage to India, Distant Frontiers etc. 

Museum Guide 

I am also a Museum Guide, approved by National Museum, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi in 2013 and am holding a valid certificate/licence to guide the visitors/VIPs.I have been taking museum tours for the last one year.I have also been shortlisted by National Museum authorities to guide VIP visitors e.g.Parliamentary delegation of various countries, Govt.of India’s official guests, important personalities from different fields.

Responsibility 

The time has come now for me to give back to the society.The best thing I can share is the knowledge and experience which I have gained over the years.As a responsible guide It’s my duty to inform/educate the foreign tourists about the rich heritage, culture, art, culinary, history, geography, wildlife etc.of India and to keep them in good humour. 

Self & Family 

I am in tourism industry not by chance but due to passion.  I am indebted to almighty for blessing me with good health so that I can serve the society for a longer period.My long tenure with Air India has given me an opportunity to handle all types of people.I understand their psychology and act accordingly.I was a student of history and tourism.I have attended several customer related handling courses conducted by Air India Staff College.By virtue of my working with Air India I have travelled widely in India and abroad. 

I share excellent rapport with my family members.My wife is in a senior position in Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.My son is Manager-HR with an Indian multinational company and he is based in Mumbai.My daughter is pursuing her studies and is in MBA (Final) with IP University.

Last but not the least I promise to take guiding to new heights.
