Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Dalhousie – Local Sightseeing

   • Arrive at Pathankot Railway Station or Amritsar Airport.
   • Enjoy a scenic drive to Dalhousie, which takes approximately 3.5 to 5 hours depending on your starting point.
   • Check into your hotel.
   • Embark on an evening heritage walk.
   • Visit Subhash Baoli.
   • Explore St. John’s Church.
   • Proceed to Gandhi Chowk.
   • Witness the sunset at Dainkund Valley if time permits.

   Enjoy dinner.

   Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

2. Day 2: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Kalatop Trek

   • After breakfast, drive to Khajjiar, famously known as "Mini Switzerland of India."
   • Explore Khajjiar Lake and its meadows.
   • Visit Khajji Nag Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to the snake god.
   • Begin a guided trek to Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary; this is an easy to moderate level trek of approximately 4 kilometers.
   • Enjoy the Himalayan cedar forest, engage in birdwatching, and admire scenic valley views.
   • Return to Dalhousie or opt for a stay at the Kalatop forest rest house upon request.

   Overnight stay in Dalhousie or Kalatop.

3. Day 3: Day Excursion to Chamba Town

   • Drive early to Chamba, a journey of approximately 2 hours.
   • Begin your sightseeing.
   • Visit Chamunda Devi Temple.
   • Explore the Laxmi Narayan Temple Complex, which features ancient stone temples.
   • Discover the Bhuri Singh Museum, showcasing miniature paintings and heritage exhibits.
   • Walk through Chamba’s old markets to find handicrafts and woolens.
   • Stop en route at Rang Mahal or the rock-cut temples of Bharmour if time permits.
   • Return by evening.

4. Day 4: Departure
