Description

Take 2 days and explore the real Sumatran tropical rainforest, which is the territory of the Orangutan. Learn the social behaviour of this genius primate and other fascinating flora and fauna species in the area.

    • Arrive at the Kuala Namu International Airport. 

    • Get picked up by a car and get dropped to Bukit Lawang.

    Overnight accommodation provided.

  • Day 2: Enter the Orangutan territory expand_more

    • Next morning, 9 o’clock after breakfast, the trip will start through the Orangutan territory's primary jungle. The jungle will welcome you with a variety of interesting flora and fauna.

    • See various birds like the Greatest Argusianus Pheasant (Peacock), the Greater Hornbill, the Rhinocherous Horbil (Rangkok Gading) etc.

    • Spot Mammalian like the iconic Bukit Lawang Orangutan (Pongo Abelii), the Siamang-(Black Gibbon), the Wau-Wau – (White Handed Gibbon), and so much more!

    • Go into the Bukit Lawang jungle to see and study nature at its best. 

    • By midday, your guide will have a lunch of Nasi Goreng or Indonesian fried rice ready.

    • Make your way to the beautiful riverside of Bohorok River.

    • Feel free to swim and sunbathe, or go to the village and enjoy tube rafting (handled by a professional rafting guide).
