I was born and raised in Gythio, a small town in Mani region, in southern Greece. My parents thought that art and literature are important in life, so they encouraged me to become a bookworm and get a music education so I play guitar and bouzouki, a traditional Greek instrument. At 18 I left for Athens to study Archaeology B.A.During the studies I got involved in Amnesty International and other NGO's for human rights. My experience, academic and personal, made me curious about untold stories. Archaeology is by definition a quest to unravel the mysteries of the past, subsequently, it was not a surprise to decide to expand my education in "modern" storytelling, so now I hold an [sensitive content].in Social Anthropology. In September 2017 I started my Ph.D.at Durham University, Department of Anthropology. If formal history is "normal" I believe in an alternative approach, the history of the many and the unheard, minorities and misfits, traditions and urban myths, even gossip, and anecdotes.
