Full-Day: Cape Coast and Elmina Castles Historical Tour
- 7:00 am depart from Accra for Cape Coast Castle on a scenic coastal drive.
- 10:30 am arrive at Cape Coast Castle and begin a guided tour of the historic fort and slave dungeons.
- Learn about the transatlantic slave trade and explore the West African Historical Museum within the castle.
- 12:00 pm break for lunch at an ocean side restaurant, with meals at your own expense.
- 1:00 pm depart for Elmina Castle, also known as St George’s Castle.
- Explore Elmina Castle and learn about its role as the first European structure built in Sub Saharan Africa.
- Take time to admire the colourful harbour below the castle, filled with traditional fishing boats.
- 2:30 pm depart from Elmina for the return journey.
- 6:30 pm arrive back at the hotel in Accra.
