Tour Duration: Approximately 10–11 hours (full-day trip)

Road Conditions: The Georgian Military Highway is scenic and mostly paved, but there may be occasional mountain road curves and short rough patches.

Altitude Notice: Kazbegi and Gergeti Church are located at higher altitudes (over 2,000 meters), so mild altitude effects are possible (shortness of breath or fatigue).

4x4 Ride to Gergeti: The route to Gergeti Trinity Church requires a short but bumpy uphill 4WD ride , cost additional 20 GEL Per person for round tri.

Lunch Stop: We’ll stop at a local restaurant in Kazbegi or Gudauri. Meals are not included but can be purchased on-site.

Family-Friendly: Suitable for families with children, but not recommended for infants due to long road hours.

Weather Advisory: In case of severe weather, access to Gergeti Church may be restricted for safety. In such cases, an alternative experience will be offered.

Kazbegi & Gergeti Church:

Arrive in Stepantsminda, a picturesque town nestled in the high mountains and watched over by the mighty Mount Kazbek (5,047 meters).

Here, you’ll switch to a 4x4 vehicle to climb the winding mountain road to the famous Gergeti Trinity Church, built in the 14th century. Perched dramatically at 2,170 meters above sea level, this church is one of Georgia’s most photographed landmarks.

From the top, enjoy 360-degree views of the Kazbegi Glacier, the surrounding peaks, and the charming town below. The serenity of this location, combined with its spiritual significance, creates an unforgettable experience.

Local Culture & Cuisine:

After visiting the church, you may choose to enjoy lunch at a local guesthouse or mountain café. Try regional specialties like khinkali (Georgian dumplings), fresh mountain cheese, or herbal tea sourced from local meadows.

Return to Tbilisi:
