Description
Starting the day with the colors and scents of products from the Provençal market of Antibes along the coast is one of my favorite pleasures. Walking along the ramparts will take us from the Greeks to Picasso and, today, to mega yachts. Then, it's time for the countryside. I love driving those peaceful roads through the mountains, overlooking the sea. Grasse will share its liquid perfume birth with us before we move forward to the very top of the mountain, just before the Alps, to reach Gourdon. This is one of the villages I love to visit the most because it is still very authentic, always active, and full of craftsmen, whether in food or arts. The drive down from Gourdon, through the Loup River canyon, is outstanding and will lead us to Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a hidden village that I would like to show you because it is still organized like it was in Medieval times. Saint-Paul-de-Vence no longer needs introduction as one of the most visited villages in France, uniquely mixing Provençal village life, modern art, and local traditions.
