I was born in Caen in Normandy and I grew up in a farm in a tiny village called Tilly la Campagne which was 100% destroyed in August 1944 during the Battle of Normandy.
I am a Tour guide since 2016.Being a guide is my passion to share the best of Normandy with travellers.
I am very flexible as a Tour guide and love driving with my 9-seats vehicle all around Normandy.Of course, I do D-Day landing beaches tours but not only beacuse Normandy is more such as the following 4 other different :
- Food tour (cheese and cidery with the famous Camembert and the hard cider and the apple brandy called the Calvados)
- Following the footsteps of Claude Monet and the impressionists
- Medieval tour about the history of William The Conquerant during the XIth century
- And of course the visit of the Abbey of the Mont Saint-Michel
I could share a review of Margaret after a D-Day tour last August 2026 :
"Damien was an excellent guide and driver for our day touring in Normandy.I wish I could give him more than five stars. We learned so much and were awed by our day touring the beaches where such bravery was on display in WWII.He shared stories about the landing at Omaha Beach that brought the scene to life, which really made it a fuller experience for us.We visited the American Cemetary and its Visitors Center, and the Utah Beach Museum. He took us to an amazing fish restaurant and minded our time well, so we saw so much but still were back at our ship with a comfortable margin of time.He was easy to chat with and his English is excellent. His vehicle is superb, especially if you are tall."
