Itinerary
-
Marseille – Panoramic Discovery
- La Major Cathedral – A striking 19th-century cathedral blending Romanesque and Byzantine influences and symbolizing Marseille’s link between East and West.
- The Old Port – The historic center of Marseille and the city’s main harbor since antiquity.
- Four des Navettes – The oldest bakery in Marseille, known for its traditional orange-blossom biscuits.
- The Abbey of Saint-Victor – One of the oldest Christian sites in France, offering insight into Marseille’s early history.
- The Corniche Kennedy – A coastal road offering sweeping views over the Mediterranean and the Château d’If, the fortress and former prison located on a small island made famous by The Count of Monte Cristo.
- Vallon des Auffes – A picturesque and authentic fishing cove, where colorful boats, stone bridges, and traditional houses reveal a quieter, timeless side of Marseille.
- Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde – Marseille’s iconic hilltop basilica, long associated with sailors and protection at sea, where sweeping views over the city and the Mediterranean allow us to step back and understand Marseille as a whole.
- Leaving the city behind, the atmosphere gradually changes as we follow the coast towards Cassis, with beautiful viewpoints along the way and a drive through the Calanques National Park, where limestone cliffs plunge into the sea.
- Cassis feels like a natural pause in the day. Nestled between vineyards and the sea, this small, colorful harbor town has a relaxed rhythm. Here, you’ll enjoy free time for lunch and a stroll along the port, watching the boats come and go while soaking up the local atmosphere.
- If you wish, you can also join an optional boat cruise into the Calanques National Park, offering a closer look at the dramatic limestone cliffs, hidden inlets, and turquoise waters that define this unique stretch of coastline (weather permitting).
- After pickup, we’ll drive to Cap Canaille, where dramatic cliffs and sweeping Mediterranean views offer one of the most striking panoramas in Provence.
