Itinerary

Day 1: Fly Addis Ababa to Jinka Turmi Omorate Turmi
- Pick up from Jinka Airport in a 4WD vehicle with modern AC systems and charging facilities.
- Drive to Omorate, home to the Dassanach tribe with Bantu descendants.
- Cross the Omo River bridge and visit a Dassanach pastoralist community before sunrise.
- Observe and photograph children feeding and playing, women milking, cooking by fire, grinding corn meal, and men with their flock.
- Spend time in the village as needed.
- Drive back to Turmi and freshen up at your hotel.
- Visit a Hamar tribe village in the afternoon and experience local life.
- Return to Turmi town.
Overnight at Turmi Tribal Life Eco Lodge.

Day 2: Drive Turmi to Kibish via Mizan
- Drive to the Surma people after breakfast in the southwestern plains of Ethiopia.
- Visit the village and observe their lifestyle including cattle raising and farming.
- Experience village life and cultural interaction.
Overnight camping in the village in a tent.

Day 3: Full Day Suri Photography Experience
- Spend a full day with the Suri tribe.
- Observe their decoration through painting, scarification, and adornment with flowers and natural objects.
- Experience one of the least visited and most photogenic tribes.

Day 4: Drive Kibish to Nyangatom Kakuta Turmi
- Depart early to Kakuta.
- Spend the afternoon and morning visiting and photographing the Bume tribes.
- Experience camping in Kakuta and learn about the culture of one of the most warrior tribes in Omo Valley.
- Observe Nyangatom women wearing large colourful bead necklaces and styled hair with red ochre.
- Learn about Nyangatom men’s scarification and clay hair buns with ostrich feathers.
- See labial piercing among elders with decorative wooden metallic or ivory structures.

Day 5: Turmi to Karo Tribe Jinka
- Drive to Korcho village near the Omo River after breakfast.
- Visit the Karo tribe known for their small population size.
- Explore the village and panoramic Omo River views.
- Spend time in the village as needed.
- Drive back to Jinka.
Overnight at Nasa Hotel.

- Transfer to the airport after breakfast for your flight to Addis Ababa.
