Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa to Gheralta Mountains
- Take an early morning flight from Addis Ababa to Mekelle.
- Drive to the Gheralta Mountains, approximately one and a half hours.
- Visit Abreha we Atsbeha Church, one of the oldest churches dating back to the 4th century.
- Explore the church museum and learn about its history.
- Continue to Abune Abraham Debre Tsion Church and enjoy panoramic views.
- Drive to Hawzen while admiring the scenic mountain landscapes.
- Enjoy sunset views over the Gheralta range.
Overnight stay in Hawzen.
Day 2: Gheralta Rock Churches Hiking
- Drive to visit Maryam Korkor and Daniel Korkor after breakfast.
- Hike for approximately three and a half hours to reach the churches.
- Explore the cliff top churches and enjoy stunning views.
- Return to the village for lunch.
- Continue to Maryam Papaseyti Church.
Overnight stay in Gheralta or Hawzen.
Day 3: Abune Yemata Guh and Cultural Experience
- Visit Abune Yemata Guh after breakfast.
- Experience the climb to the church and admire ancient frescoes.
- Enjoy panoramic views over the mountains.
- Visit a local family home near Gheralta.
- Participate in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
