Itinerary

Day 1: Gondar to Sankaber
- Depart early morning from Gondar to Debark.
- Arrange park entry formalities and meet your scout and guide.
- Drive into Simien Mountains National Park and continue to Sankaber.
- Choose to drive to the campsite or begin a short hike from Buyit Ras.
- Enjoy beautiful views of the endless mountain ridges.
- Spot Gelada Baboons along the escarpment.
- Arrive at Sankaber where your supplies will be waiting.

Day 2: Sankaber to Geech Camp
- Begin hiking along the ridge with views over the foothills 800 metres below.
- Descend into the valley and see the Jinbar River plunging into the Geech Abyss.
- Spend time at the waterfall before continuing your trek.
- Pass through Geech village and arrive at the second campsite.

Day 3: Geech to Ambaras
- Trek for an average of six to seven hours across one of the most magnificent routes in the Simien Mountains.
- Pass through Imet Gogo at an altitude of 3,926 metres.
- Enjoy a panoramic 360 degree view of canyons, distant ridges, and seemingly endless valleys.
- Break for lunch at the viewpoint.
- Continue hiking to Ambaras to meet your vehicle.
- Drive back to Debark or Gondar, marking the end of your trek.
