- Begin your city tour of Addis Ababa by visiting the National Museum of Addis Ababa, which shelters the fossil remains of Lucy (3.25 million years old and the oldest hominid) and ancient stone hand tools used by early human ancestors.
- Head to the peak of Mount Entoto (3,200 metres above sea level) for a bird' s-eye view of Addis Ababa.
- Visit the oldest church in Addis Ababa – St. Raguel or Elias, which is famous for its beautiful hand-painted wall paintings (140 years).
- Make a short stop at Shiro Meda local market, noted for its great collection of traditional hand-woven cotton clothes.
- See the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which is famous for its window glassworks and a rich museum that displays crowns, icons, manuscripts, etc. It is also the site of Emperor Haile Selassie I's grave.
