Itinerary
-
Rìas Baixas Tour
- We will visit the enchanted Rio Barosa Natural Park, where many laurel, chestnut and oak trees live, crossed by the Agra River and several waterfalls, not to mention the spectacular mills built in the 12th century. This oasis of peace is perfect for relaxing, spending time in tranquillity, and feeling the sensations that the true Galicia can give you: rural, calm and away from aggressive tourism.
- Next, do an Eno-gastronomic tour in an Albariño winery. We will walk among the vineyards of a very prestigious Albariño (an important wine of the Rías Baixas), among the best in the world. It is not for nothing that it is sold and served throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. Not only will we have the opportunity to get to know the production of this excellent wine up close, but for the participants, it will also include tasting three wines from the Rias Baixas appellation in good company.
- Continue to the Hermitage of the Lanzada beach. Established in the 9th century, this mystical place undoubtedly deserves to be known in depth, accompanied by a beautiful walk. Its importance is related to its history, but its location must be taken into account, that is, on the shores of one of the most admirable beaches in Galicia. In all this, we cannot forget that this temple welcomes and offers some popular rituals in the light of the moon, making it even more unique.
- Cross a part of the Bay of Poio to get to this picturesque little town of Combarro, one of the most beautiful in Spain, located on the banks of the Ría de Pontevedra. All this beauty is conferred by a giant rock on which it is built, the granaries by which it is surrounded, the houses that overlook the sea, and several stone crosses typical of Galicia, called “Cruceiros”, which are on the site. Walking through the characteristic streets and squares of this place, you can take an authentic journey through time and visit an area of great ecological value.
- Head to A Toxa Island. This relaxing island, famous for producing soap and its thermal waters, is in “Red Natura 2000”. We can find a small museum of the old soap factory and a fully covered chapel of shells.
- Finally, ride a Cruise with Albariño wine, mussels, drinks, and a chupito. A journey over the sea, through which you can admire and face the production of mussels, oysters and scallops directly;
- We will make different stops to contemplate the water troughs and then be able to taste steamed mussels in large quantities accompanied by one of the best local Albariño wines (Condes de Albarei) and shots of Orujo Cream.
