1. 8-Hour Itinerary: Mountain Hike & Thermal Springs Excursion

   • Depart from your hotel in Valencia at 9 am with your friendly English-speaking guide.

   • Travel for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes through scenic Mediterranean landscapes.

   • Pass by orange groves, picturesque villages, valleys, and mountains.

   • Admire views of the historic Sagunto Fortress during the journey.

   • Arrive at Montanejos, a beautiful mountainous area known for its natural beauty and thermal springs.

   • Begin the adventurous 9 km (6 mile) circular mountain hike along the River Maimona, known as the La Bojera route.

   • Pass through dense pine forests and marvel at the towering vertical cliffs and dramatic gorges.

   • Stop to take photos of the spectacular mountain landscapes along the trail.

   • Complete the hike in approximately 3 hours 15 minutes at a comfortable and relaxed pace.

   • Choose an alternative shorter route of 6 km which takes around 1 hour 45 minutes if preferred.

   • After the hike, decide whether to enjoy a local lunch at a nearby village tapas restaurant, offering authentic and non-touristy dishes at reasonable prices.

   • Alternatively, bring your own lunch and proceed directly to the thermal springs for a relaxing experience.

   • Arrive at the thermal springs of Montanejos, where the water temperature remains a constant 23°C (73°F) throughout the year.

   • Relax by sunbathing on the shore and taking a swim in the warm, clear waters.

   • For the adventurous, jump from a 3-meter-high rock into the refreshing lagoon.

   • Enjoy the stunning natural surroundings which create a tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere.

   • Learn about the historical significance of these springs, long visited for their reputed medicinal benefits.

   • Depart from Montanejos and enjoy the scenic drive back to Valencia.
