Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrival in Cairo

   • Meet your tour guide upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. 
   • Transfer to your hotel, just near the Pyramids. 
   • Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities or book in for the Sound and Light show at the Pyramids this evening. (Show is optional and at your own cost)

   Overnight at your Cairo hotel.

2. Day 2- Cairo Pyramids - Sphinx - Egyptian Museum

   • Today, visit the Pyramids of Giza, including the largest one of all, the so-called Great Pyramid, which is said to be the tomb of the Pharaoh Khufu dating back over 5000 years. 
   • After exploring the pyramids, enter the King's Chamber of the Great pyramid and take a camel ride deep into the desert for some amazing photo opportunities of a total of 9 pyramids in one shot.  
   • Then, head to the Guardian Angel of the area, the monolithic Sphinx. The Sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human carved from limestone. It proudly sits facing the horizon and greets the sunrise as it has done daily for centuries.
   • Next, proceed to the Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of artifacts covering all the eras of Egyptian history, including the most famous piece of all, the Golden Mask of the young King Tutankhamun. The museum is overflowing with priceless treasures and our guide will explain the masterpieces then allow you plenty of free time to explore at your leisure.

3. Day 3- Luxor - Karnak Temples

   • After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Luxor. 
   • Upon arrival, visit the fascinating Karnak Temples dedicated to the Pharaoh Amun. 
   • Wander the 134 awe-inspiring columns in the Hypostyle Hall, marvel at the detailed hieroglyphics expertly carved on every wall.
   • Explore the majestic Luxor Temple.

   Overnight on-board Nile River Cruise.

4. Day 4- Luxor - Valley of the Kings

   • After an early breakfast, go to the West Bank of Luxor. 
   • The Valley of the Kings is famous as the resting place of the most well-known Pharaoh of them all, King Tutankhamun, along with many others. 
   • Later, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the most famous female Pharaoh to rule Egypt. 
   • Before returning to the cruise boat, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. 

   Overnight onboard cruise ship.

5. Day 5- Edfu - Kom Ombo Temples

   • This morning after sailing, we will visit the magnificent Temple of Edfu. This beautiful temple is considered one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. 
   • Return to our boat and continue sailing towards Kom  Ombo.
   • See the Temple of Kom Ombo – the only dual temple in Egypt and dedicated to two gods, Haroeris, the sun god & Sobek, the crocodile god. This temple is just a short stroll from your boat and has a fascinating history, including the hieroglyphic carvings showing medical instruments we still use in our present days.

   Overnight on-board.

6. Day 6- Abu Simbel

   • An early start today as you will drive 3 ½ hours south to the magnificent Temples of Abu Simbel, a must-see for everyone who comes to Egypt. These temples were cut deep into the rock and dedicated to Pharaoh Ramses II and his beloved wife, Nefertari. 
   • Enjoy lunch onboard our cruise boat. 

   Overnight onboard. 

7. Day 7- Aswan - Philae Temple

   • After breakfast, we will disembark our Nile River Cruise and visit Philae Temple, the temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis.
   • Next, head to the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. 
   • Later in the day, take a return flight to Cairo and enjoy a 'Farewell Dinner' before checking into our hotel.

8. Day 8- Departure

   • Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight.

   Tour ends.
