Places to Visit:

Visit the rock-cut Roman catacombs, which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock, and then the Pompey's Pillar, which was constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the Serapeum temple, this was dedicated to the Bull God Serapis, glorified by both Egyptian and Greek people and was once a magnificent structure rivalling the Soma and the Caesarean.

Proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria that was once one of the wonders of the ancient world.
