Itinerary
-
Full-Day Tour To El Fayoum
- Your representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for an excursion to El Fayoum, which is approximately 95 km away from Cairo.
- Today's itinerary centres around Wadi El Ryan, a designated Protected Area since 1989. Our journey begins at Wadi Hitan Protected Area, also known as the Valley of the Whales, situated about 90 km from Fayoum. This site has garnered international recognition, being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the presence of 40-million-year-old whale skeletons.
- En route to Wadi El Rayan Water Falls, we will visit Mudawara Mountain and, from there, proceed to Wadi Al Ryan Water Falls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression located in the Western Desert. It consists of two lakes connected by Egypt's sole waterfalls, which were formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage water from the farmlands in Fayoum.
- A late lunch of high quality will be served at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will return to Cairo.
