Full-Day Tour of Luxor East and West Bank
- Meet your guide at 7:00 AM for hotel pickup and begin your journey in the ancient city of Luxor, once known as Thebes, the heart of pharaonic Egypt.
- At 7:30 AM, visit the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious complex ever built, exploring the Great Hypostyle Hall, the Sacred Lake, obelisks and colossal statues, and temples dedicated to Amun-Ra, as your guide brings thousands of years of history to life. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
- At 10:00 AM, drive to the West Bank, crossing the Nile where golden desert cliffs rise like a giant sandstone fortress guarding the tombs of kings.
- At 10:30 AM, explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis of the New Kingdom pharaohs, visiting selected tombs featuring ancient hieroglyphics, vibrant wall paintings, and burial chambers hidden deep within the mountains. An optional entrance to Tutankhamun's tomb is available at an extra cost. Duration: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- At 12:15 PM, visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a dramatic terraced temple elegantly built against towering limestone cliffs and one of Egypt's most photogenic temples. Duration: approximately 45 minutes.
- At 1:15 PM, stop at the Colossi of Memnon to see the two gigantic seated statues that have guarded the Theban necropolis for over 3,000 years. Duration: approximately 15 minutes.
- At 1:45 PM, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, including grilled specialties, rice and vegetables, fresh bread and salads, mineral water, and refreshing juices. Duration: approximately 1 hour.
