Luxor East and West Bank Excursion
- The tour begins with a visit to the West Bank, where you will visit the Valley of the Kings, a great mountainous area in which more than 65 tombs were discovered. The most famous tombs are King Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, King Ramses VI, King Merneptah and Amenhotep II.
- Then, we will move on to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the Eighteenth Dynasty (about 1490-1469 BC) and was the only Pharaonic woman who ruled ancient Egypt.
- Next, go to the statue of Memnon that remained from the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
- Further, proceed to the east bank of Luxor to enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant before heading on to the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.
- Conclude your tour with a visit to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III during the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom and completed by Ramses II during the 19th dynasty.
- Later, you will be returned to your hotel in Luxor.
