The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival in Cairo and Hotel Check-in

  • Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport with the arrival procedures, then escort you to your hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle.
  • At the hotel, the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02

Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, and Khan El Khalili

  • After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your guide to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and the Valley Temple facing the great statue.
  • Then transfer to enjoy the Egyptian Museum, including the treasures room of the child king Tutankhamun.
  • Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you can explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo's old bazaar.
  • At the end of the tour, our representative will drive you back to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 03

Citadel of Saladin, Saqqara, Memphis, and Flight to Luxor

  • In the morning, after breakfast at your Cairo hotel, our tour guide will pick you up and take you to discover the Citadel of Saladin, the seat of rule for 700 years and one of the fortresses dating back to the Islamic period. Built by Saladin Al-Ayoubi, it houses some of the most famous mosques in Egypt, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.
  • You will then move to Saqqara to discover the Complex of King Djoser, dating back to the Third Dynasty. This complex is considered the first complete stone construction in ancient Egypt, and it contains the first pyramid in ancient Egyptian civilization, the Step Pyramid.
  • You will continue to Memphis, the first capital of united ancient Egypt, founded by King Narmer in 3100 BC.
  • You will also enjoy visiting the Memphis Museum. In the evening, fly to Luxor.
  • Upon arrival in Luxor, your licensed tour guide will pick you up from Luxor Airport and drop you off at your hotel.

(Recommended optional tour in Luxor: the hot air balloon and the Sound and Light Show). Overnight in Luxor.

Day 04

Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon

  • In the morning, after breakfast at your hotel in Luxor, your tour guide will pick you up to start a wonderful day tour to the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning mortuary temple built for the female pharaoh Hatshepsut. It is carved into a cliff face and features a beautiful terraced garden.
  • Then visit the Valley of the Kings, where you can see the tombs of ancient pharaohs, including the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. The tombs are decorated with intricate paintings and hieroglyphics that tell the story of the pharaoh's life and journey to the afterlife. The Valley of the Kings is a valley in Egypt where, for nearly 500 years from the 16th to the 11th century BC, tombs were constructed for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor), within the heart of the Theban Necropolis. The wadi consists of two valleys: East Valley and West Valley.
  • Then visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that once stood at the entrance to a temple and now stand free.
  • Finally, before returning to your Luxor hotel, you can enjoy lunch in a good-quality local restaurant, then be dropped off at the hotel.

Day 05

Karnak and Luxor Temples, Then Transfer to Aswan

  • At around 7:00 am, your professional tour guide will pick you up from your hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle for a wonderful trip to the ancient city of Luxor, the world's ancient heritage center, to visit its most famous historical sites.
  • The tour begins with a visit to Karnak Temple, one of the world's largest and most impressive temple complexes. The temple was dedicated to the god Amun and was constructed over 2,000 years, from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic era. It is a testament to the engineering and artistic skills of the ancient Egyptians, containing numerous statues, columns, and halls that are a wonder to behold. Next, the tour proceeds to Luxor Temple, another impressive temple complex in the heart of Luxor. Built over 3,000 years ago and dedicated to Amun, the temple's grandeur reflects the power and wealth of the pharaohs who built it and offers incredible insight into the culture and beliefs of ancient Egypt. The tour ends after the visits to Karnak and Luxor temples.
  • You will then travel to Aswan by modern private air-conditioned car.

Day 06

Abu Simbel Temple Excursion

  • The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Aswan, followed by a drive to Abu Simbel Temple. Abu Simbel is a site of unparalleled beauty, showcasing some of ancient Egypt's finest craftsmanship. Two temples, each with its own unique style, were built during the reign of King Ramses II in 1200 BC. One temple is dedicated to King Ramses II, while the other is dedicated to his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. These rock-cut structures are adorned with exquisite carvings, hand-carved pillars, wall paintings, statues, and other magnificent artwork that will impress any visitor. The attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship on display are truly remarkable, and visiting Abu Simbel is an essential experience for anyone interested in ancient Egyptian history and culture.
  • Tour ends: our representative will drive you back to your Aswan hotel at the end of the tour.

Day 07

Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Departure

  • After breakfast at your Aswan hotel, your Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up to enjoy a day tour in the amazing city of Aswan. Visit the majestic Philae Temple by boat, built in honour of Goddess Isis, the chief goddess of the island.
  • Then you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk and the Aswan Granite Quarries, followed by the High Dam.
  • We will start with a visit to the High Dam, an engineering marvel built in 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual floods of the Nile River. Finally, our tour guide will drop you off at Aswan International Airport to fly to Cairo.
