I was born in Loja, a beautiful province in southern Ecuador (coffee region of Ecuador), and later moved to Quito, where I discovered my passion for travel, nature, and guiding. My journey in tourism began in 2005, working as an English-speaking representative for different travel agencies and direct clients at Quito’s old airport. Those first experiences opened the doors to a career that has always been driven by curiosity, learning, and a deep love for Ecuador’s natural beauty.
A few years later, I joined G Adventures, one of the world’s leading travel companies, where I grew from handling airport transfers to supporting the Customer Service Department. This opportunity strengthened my belief that tourism—and especially sustainable, nature-based travel—is part of who I am.
In 2014, I began a new chapter with a tailor-made travel company, where I helped develop authentic and meaningful experiences across Ecuador.Over the years, I’ve become a passionate interpreter of my country’s history, culture, and natural regions.
Today, my main focus is birdwatching and wildlife experiences.I’ve explored many of Ecuador’s top birding destinations—from the misty cloud forests of Mindo to the high Andean páramos and the Amazon rainforest.Guiding travelers through these unique ecosystems allows me to share the incredible diversity of Ecuador’s birds—some of the most colorful, rare, and fascinating species in the world.
For me, birdwatching is not just about spotting species; it’s about connecting with nature, slowing down, and discovering how life flourishes in every corner of this small but megadiverse country. My goal is to help visitors experience that same wonder and appreciation through personalized, responsible birding and nature tours.
