Private Tour Guide In
Galapagos Islands
Other Guiding Areas
Quito

I have always been connected to the Galapagos because my grandmother came here already in the 1930’s, and my mother was born on Isabela Island.Growing up in Quito, Ecuador’s capital, I spend almost every holiday in Galapagos to visit the many family I have here. After college I got a degree in early childhood education. When on summer break on the islands I had the opportunity to crew a private yacht from New Zealand and decided to sail around the Pacific, ending up working in the yachting industry for more than six years.During those years I also resided in New Zealand where I followed a course in gourmet cooking. It was when I heard I could become a naturalist in Galapagos though that I didn’t hesitate a moment, knowing what a great job it is.The years spend sailing had triggered an interest not only in marine wildlife but also island biogeography.Suddenly it all came together; my love for the islands, the ocean and [sensitive content]w being able to combine all this, I live with my husband Jan in Puerto Ayora, where us both work as naturalist guides.
