Description
Cotopaxi National Park is one of the best-known and most visited in Ecuador. Here, we can do different activities such as cycling, hiking, and horseback riding; besides, you can know the unique flora and fauna of this wonderful place at the interpretation center. Also, we can visit the Limpiopungo lagoon and hike around, and after, we go to the Jose Rivas Refuge, which is located at 4864m. In this refuge, we can buy hot chocolate or hot coffee, and you can take beautiful pictures from this point of view.

Full Day Cotopaxi Volcano Tour
- Pick up from the hotel at 7h00 am. Enjoy a scenic drive from Quito Hotel to Cotopaxi National Park 3200m.
- Cultural visit to the interpretation center. Here, you will learn about the geological history of the volcano, the indigenous culture of the region and the importance of preserving this valuable ecosystem.
- Visit the Limpiopungo Lagoon, a mirror of crystalline water located in the middle of the mountains.
- We will hike for approximately one hour from the parking lot to the first refuge, which is at 4,864 meters above sea level.
- Lunch with Ecuadorian gastronomy, we will stop at one of the local restaurants to enjoy a delicious lunch with typical Ecuadorian dishes.
- After a day full of adventures and spectacular scenery, we will return to the city of Quito.
