Day 01: Welcome to Colombia! Arrival in Bogota
- Begin your journey in Bogotá, Colombia’s dynamic capital, nestled high in the Andes at over 2,600 meters. With more than 8 million residents, this vibrant metropolis offers a rich fusion of history and modern life.
- Wander through La Candelaria’s colourful streets and colonial architecture, explore the world-famous Gold Museum, and take in stunning views from Monserrate Hill at 3,100 meters.
- Your adventure begins with a warm welcome and private transfer from the airport with an English-speaking guide.

Day 02: Guatavita Lagoon & The Legend of El Dorado
- Embark on a fascinating day trip from Bogotá to the mystical Guatavita Lagoon, the birthplace of the El Dorado legend. At over 3,000 meters above sea level, enjoy a gentle 1.5 to 2-hour hike through high-Andean forest and sub-páramo vegetation.
- Learn about the sacred rituals of the Muisca people, including gold offerings made by their gilded chief during ceremonies.
- Discover the lagoon’s allure that captivated Spanish conquistadors, who once attempted to drain it in pursuit of its treasures.
The tour includes transport, an English-speaking guide, and a brief visit to Guatavita.

- After breakfast at La Manigua Lodge, begin your day with a canoe ride along the Guayabero River, followed by a 4x4 journey deep into the Sierra de La Macarena National Park.
- At the park's reception centre, a brief warm-up precedes a 30-minute hike to the awe-inspiring Caño Cristales.
- Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll follow one of the park’s designated trails, selected based on environmental conditions and group fitness.
- Enjoy a full day discovering the vibrant colours of this unique river, swimming in natural pools, and savouring a picnic lunch in nature.
- Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening with cultural activities and a riverside dinner.

Day 05: Sunrise Canoe Ride & Farewell to La Macarena
