Itinerary

1. Day 1 – Constantine City Highlights

   • Morning flight from Algiers to Constantine.

   • Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the city center.

   • Visit the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, a modern Islamic architectural masterpiece.

   • Walking tour of Constantine’s historic monuments and squares.

   • Explore the Palace of Ahmed Bey with mosaics, painted ceilings, and courtyards.

   • Visit the National Museum of Cirta showcasing Roman mosaics, Numidian artifacts, and Islamic treasures.

   • Lunch at a panoramic restaurant overlooking Constantine’s gorges and bridges.

   • Afternoon visit to Constantine’s suspension bridges: Sidi M’Cid, El Kantara, and Mellah Slimane.

   • Explore the old souks and taste local specialties, including djouzia (walnut nougat).

   • Dinner at a traditional restaurant.

   • Overnight stay in a hotel in Constantine.

2. Day 2 – Djemila Roman Ruins

   • Breakfast at the hotel

   • Drive to Djemila, approximately 1.5 hours from Constantine.

   • Guided tour of Djemila archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including Roman forums, temples, basilicas, mosaics, carved stone monuments, streets, houses, and theaters.

   • Lunch at a local restaurant near Djemila

   • Optional short hike to viewpoints for photographs of the ruins and surrounding mountains..

   • Return to Constantine in the late afternoon.

   • Dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant.

   • Transfer to Constantine Airport for the evening flight back to Algiers.
