Itinerary

1. Day 1: Sao Vicente Island

   • Arrive at the island of Sao Vicent and get transferred to your hotel by your tour guide. 
   • Have lunch in a local restaurant and spend the rest of the day at the white sandy of Laginha Beach

   Have dinner in a local restaurant with live music. 

   Overnight. 

2. Day 2: City Tour

   After breakfast, embark on a city tour and explore a little bit of the city.

   Visit the fish market, the municipal market, the National Handicraft Center and the museum of Cesaria Évora, known as the best singer of Cape Verde Islands.

   Then, enjoy a delicious lunch ia a local restaurant.

   In afternoon, discover a little bit of traditional music genre and visit musical instruments workshop, there you'll learn how to build a local guitar named cavaquinho and discover the differents music genres of Cape Verde.

   At the end, enjoy a stunning sunset at most popular terraces restaurant of the city. If you want you can have a dinner there or enjoy a snack.

3. Day 3: Hiking Água das Caldeiras

   Depart early in the morning to the neighbour island of Santo Antão. Arrive in the main city of Santo Antão Island, Porto Novo and drive to the mountains.

   Stop to the crater of Cova, a volcanic crater where local people farming sweet potatoes,  carrots, cassava, oranges,apples, beans and peas.Thee view is stunning.

   Walk in a middle of a forest of pin trees, mimosas, acacias, cyprest and discover small hamlets.

   Then, continue to drive in the road of Corda, an amazing cobblestone road built only by hands on the mountain between 1960 to 1975.

   Enjoy the rest of the day in a pitoresque town of Ponta do Sol.

   In the evening, have a dinner in a local restaurant. 

   Walking time: 3h30 to 4h

   Ascent: 400 m

   Descent: 450 m

4. Day 4: Coastal Walk

   After the breakfast, drive one hour to a fishermen village of Cruzinha and for there walk in a beautiful path built by the slaves during XVII century. 

   Have a lunch in a isolated village and discover a colorful village named Fontainhas, known as the most beautiful village of Cape Verde Islands.

   Walk until to your hotel in Ponta do Sol and in the evening enjoy your dinner in a local restaurant.

   Walking time: 5h to 6h

   Ascent: 650 m

   Descent: 650 m

5. Day 5: Vinha Waterfall

   In the morning, discover a little bit of the town of Ribeira Grande, an ancient capital of the island then drive to Ribeira da Torre valley. 

   There you'll explore the most spectacular waterfall of the island. 

   Walk up in a cobblestone path until to the village of Vinha then continue to the waterfall, enjoy your time there and refresh yourself in the waterfall.

   Then, walk down in a middle of agricultural terraces where the farmers plants sugarcanes, bananas, papayas, guavas, yams and cassava.

   Enjoy a nice lunch in local homestay and descent till the road.

   At the end, drive back to your hotel and enjoy a massage in the end of the day.

   At night, have a dinner in a local restaurant. 

   Walking time: 3h30 to 4h

   Ascent: 500 m

   Descent: 500m

6. Day 6: Snorkeling with the turtles in Sao Pedro beach.

   Early in the morning, drive in new road to Porto Novo. Take the ferry to go back to Mindelo.

   Transfer to your hotel to let your luggage. 

   Go to the small fishermen of São Pedro and enjoy a fantastic experience to swin with the turtles.

   There you'll learn all about the loggerhead turtles and you will swim very close of them. It's an amazing experience. 

   Enjoy the beach a bit and drive back to Mindelo.

   At night, enjoy your last dinner in a local restaurant.

7. Day 7: Departure

   After your breakfast, take a transfer to the airport.
