Biography Alejandro is a licensed General and Naturalist Tour Guide, certified in Tourism, with over 10 years of experience in paradise (Costa Rica.) He attended the Costa Rican Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA), where he obtained his certification and completed courses on Volcanology of Costa Rica and Ornithology.He is First Aid and CPR certified.He has extensive experience leading a variety of tours and attendees, including families, students, yogis, and cruise ship day travelers, to name a few.Friendly and social by nature, he loves adventure and enjoys meeting new people! Born in Alajuela and raised in the low lands of Sarapiqui, Alejandro grew up in the lush wilds of Costa Rica, exploring, diving in water holes, climbing trees, tubing class 4 white water rapids, mountain biking, four wheelings, you name it! He got his start in the eco-tourism industry volunteering at the well-known rescue center, nature park, and wildlife refuge, La Paz Waterfall Gardens.At La Paz, he cared for various exotic animals, including feeding and grooming them, and later worked at the park as a manager.Throughout his life, he has participated in various environmental enrichment campaigns planting trees, collecting trash, and cleaning up rivers, forests, and beaches alike.When he’s not enthusiastically sharing his beautiful home country with others, Alejandro’s other passions include eco study, hiking, climbing, surfing, mountain biking, gardening, yoga, and nature photography. Alejandro’s love of Costa Rica and his passion for nature and eco-preservation comes through in everything that he does.He can’t wait to share the culture, wildlife, geology, and breathtaking beauty of Costa Rica with you!
