About me
I was born in Heredia third province of the central valley, known for its coffee production of high quality and very important part of the history and culture of Costa Rica, in addition to coffee the province has volcanoes, cloud forests, rainforests, rivers and different plantations and ecosystems, and being so young I grew up watching all these natural beauties and also had the opportunity to live for a few years in another very privileged province in the country Guanacaste, birthplace of folklore and the very impressive dry tropical forest, which sparked my interest in flora and fauna of my [sensitive content]when entering college I decided to pursue a career in which I could be in touch with everything that I liked and passionate, so today I have been guiding for 25 years, I have since I was 21 and over the time and learned that tourist who come on holiday besides seek for a time of relaxation and spotting flora a fauna are also looking for an experience, that why as a guide I do my best to help them find and enjoy this experience as much as possible.What I really enjoy in been a guide is that you become an ambassador of your country and gives me the opportunity to "plant a seed” in each person that visit us, when it will grow the concern for respect, understanding and most importantly the conservation of natural resources.Our country has great places to explore, but for me there is nothing better than having the chance to guide in Costa Rica’s South Pacific where there is a great diversity of my favorite especies, birds and amphibians among my favorites are: Laughing Falcon (Herpetotheres cachinnans) A bird of prey that feeds on snakes and the Red Eye Leaf Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) one of the most emblematic rainforest amphibians.
