Hi, I'm Ricardo Calvo, everyone calls me Ricky.    I was born in New York in 1971, raised in Costa Rica; Yes, I have dual citizenship.    I am married and have children, not long ago I became a grandfather.I thank God for the blessings, I am a happy man.

    I have worked as a certified tour guide for more than 25 years, I love it.I have worked with people from all over the world.Through travel agencies I worked as a free-lance guide with groups of elders, children, students, individual visitors.People interested in ecology, nature, culture, language, beaches, volcanoes, or simply that they just want to have fun and relax, I must be flexible and adaptable to different tastes.

     I'm not a professional photographer, yet I've won photography contests and my photos have been on calendars, web pages and magazines.I have worked with many nature photographers, including National Geografic and Discovery.  I learned patience and to find targets.Although I have a reflex camera, the technique that I use most is "digiscoping" is to take pictures through the lens of a high quality HD Swarovski telescope.So I can practice my hobby while I work, even if it's not with photographers.

     I will be happy and grateful to take you through Costa Rica, to show you the wonders of this small country and its great diversity.
