- The Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where the Liberator Simón Bolívar died on December 17, 1830, which is why it is one of the most visited places.
- Taganga, a typical fishing village, ideal for resting and snorkelling because of its beautiful and quiet bay and, besides being the starting point for visiting the neighbouring almost virgin beaches.
- The Historic Centre of Santa Marta, currently a great tourist attraction in the city that hides a wealth of history. It was declared a National Monument in 1963. The colonial-style Cathedral was one of the first in Latin America, and its construction began in 1765.
