Description
After 1938, the Nazi regime in Germany launched Kristallnacht to persecute Jews. More and more Jews were fleeing from Europe to the free city of Shanghai. Jews had established refugee camps and residential communities in several neighborhoods of Shanghai. After World War II, Jews gradually left Shanghai, but the buildings they once lived in retained their memories.
