I am Lisa, as you can see from the heading on the page, I am a tour guide in Yangshuo and surrounding areas.I was born in a family of a farmer, grown up in the countryside with a bunch of rice paddies, working on bare feet.My hometown is in Xingping village, close to the river.After 18 years, I think it’s time for me to leave out there and explore my world, to find the life I desire for the rest of my time on this earth.For about 2 years, I have been working as a bartender, waitress, and hotel receptionist…but I found that none of these are what I’m looking for.During these two years, I was a part-time English [sensitive content] late in October in 2007, I changed my job to a receptionist in a travel agency, became a tour guide to accompany travelers’ travelling, explaining the customs and traditions to our visitors.From the day I started guiding, I had a strong feeling of happiness deep in my heart – that is, I love this job.I mentioned I loved the job of guiding up there.I think it’s because I love communicating with my customers.During the tour, I regard them as my friends, not just a business relationship.We talk about everything in the world – even though we do not really know a lot, we share our hearts, we share our enthusiasm, and we share our friendliness to each [sensitive content]anwhile, we learn from each other about the differences between our countries.It does not matter where you come from, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we are calm, and we know that we are being truthful with each other.Also, we gain more useful knowledge.I will try my hardest to do the best job I can.I know I’m not perfect, but that’s not going to stop me from trying, and not going to stop me from always keeping moving forward.I hope to not only have a happy beginning, but also a happy ending.Take life in stride, be flexible, be yourself…that’s me, to live by day today.
