I’m Matías Clares, an adventure tourism guide with more than 10 years of experience leading outdoor activities and cultural experiences across Chile and South America.I studied Adventure Tourism at the Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO), and I’ve built my career guiding in some of the most iconic destinations of the continent.
I have worked as a rafting and adventure guide in Pucón, the Cajón del Maipo near Santiago, and internationally in Colombia, Ecuador, and Italy. These experiences have given me strong skills in group management, safety, storytelling, and creating meaningful connections with travelers from all over the world.
I’m certified in rescue techniques and hold a current WAFA – Wilderness Advanced First Aid certification (valid until 2028), ensuring that every experience is safe, well-managed, and professionally guided.I’m passionate about interpreting nature, sharing local culture, and creating tours that feel personal, authentic, and memorable.
What makes me a great guide is my ability to combine technical knowledge, safety, and a friendly, enthusiastic personality.I love helping travelers discover Chile and South America in a deeper way—through nature, stories, adventure, and real human connection.
