Day 1: Bujumbura to Rumonge | Livingstone–Stanley Monument and Mugara Thermal Springs
- Begin your journey at 7:30 AM departing from Bujumbura toward the scenic town of Rumonge.
- Visit the historic Livingstone–Stanley Monument overlooking Lake Tanganyika.
- Continue along the picturesque lakeshore road before arriving at Tanganyika Blue Bay Resort.
- After settling in, visit the Mugara Thermal Springs to enjoy warm natural waters and a soothing massage effect.
Dinner and Overnight at Blue Bay Resort (Rumonge).

Day 2: Rumonge to Bururi, Rutovu, Rutana and Gitega | Source of the Nile, German Fault and Karera Waterfalls
- Depart Rumonge at 7:00 AM for Bururi and visit the southernmost source of the Nile in Rutovu.
- Travel onward to the impressive German Fault to explore its dramatic geological formations.
- Enjoy lunch in Rutana before continuing to the majestic Karera Waterfalls surrounded by lush vegetation.
- Arrive in Gitega for dinner and a restful evening.

Day 3: Gitega City Tour, Gishora Drum Sanctuary and Return to Gitega
- Start your day with a guided tour of the National Museum of Gitega to learn about Burundi’s royal and cultural heritage.
- Visit Boma, the former German governor’s residence before the First World War.
- Continue to Gishora Hill for an unforgettable performance by the legendary Royal Drummers.
- Enjoy lunch in Gitega before relaxing for the remainder of the afternoon.

Day 4: Kibira National Park, Tea Plantations and Batwa Community | Return to Bujumbura
- After breakfast, travel to Kibira National Park for a guided forest hike among colobus monkeys, baboons and diverse birdlife.
- Continue to the endless rolling tea plantations for panoramic views and fresh highland air.
- Visit the Batwa community of Busekera and experience traditional dances and storytelling.
- Return to Bujumbura for your final night.
- Departure will be tomorrow.
