About me

My name is John Forrest and I am the owner/General Manager of Northern Escape Heli-Skiing.As a young skiier and climber, I always dreamed of becoming a heli-ski guide.After guiding for over 25 years, my entrepreneurial spirit has distinguished me as a founder of many successful companies.My first venture was a Snowcat-Skiing company founded in the early 90's.I later went on to become the Director of Operations for a new Heli-Skiing company where I spent 10 years developing it's operations program.During this time I co-founded a second Heli-Skiing company in the Skeena Mountains of BC, which is known as Northern Escape Heli-Skiing.In order to round out my industry experience, I have also worked with many other Heli-Skiing companies as a Lead Guide.I am also the past President of HeliCat Canada, our industry association.
