I am a passionate, creative and flexible native English-speaking local Montreal expert and guide.A Montreal local guide since 1992.I enjoy offering extraordinary local Montreal experiences tailored to each guest.I am a Montrealer, a proud McGill University graduate, and I continue to attend educational workshops, training and classes to learn and improve.My Montreal tours are unique experiences filled with anecdotes, stories & humour.I specialise in food/culinary arts neighbourhood tours, photography tours, fashion & design tours, art, culture, traditions, politics, architecture, the Montreal metro, the underground city and history.I offer helicopter tours( with a pilot), walking tours of Montreal, driving tours, bike tours, tours using public transportation or with a driver and vehicle, sprinters, as well as motor coach tours of Montreal, Ottawa and the surrounding areas.I can include Jewish Heritage and Leonard Cohen in your tour.I can also include the history and heritage of other cultural groups, such as Montreal's LGBTQ history, in your customised tours.Just ask.Past guests include public figures and personalities, diplomats, delegations, business travellers, politicians, journalists, film crews, conference & event planners, cruise ship guests, wedding parties, specialised groups, pilgrims, couples, friends' trips, families and solo travellers.The tours offered are a base; all tours can be further customised to your needs for individuals or groups.I am a polyglot, but English is my mother tongue.My diverse background in the tourism and travel industry includes: Concierge at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel; work at airports and destination management companies; incentive houses as a corporate travel director with companies like American Express; international tour operators, including Globus; and roles as a tour manager, public speaker and workshop presenter.I have worked for Tourism Montreal as a media relations manager, as well as in the business, convention and communications departments, since 1993.This includes working with the sales team to bring international conferences to Montreal.I have also worked for Tourism Québec in various capacities, including developing programmes for emerging markets, consulting, leading familiarisation tours, working with film crews and organising events.I continue to work as a private concierge and offer training and evaluation in the tourism industry, both in Montreal & abroad.I am photographer, I sing, am dance teacher and still perform on occasion I am an avid traveller, having visited to 113 countries and lived for periods of 3 to 6 months in 25 different places world wide that include Egypt, India, the Arabian Gulf, Italy, London, Spain etc.I travel for work, study languages, dance, make music, photograph, and create art and culinary art.I collect art & antique tribal jewellery.During my travels, I learned to cook unusual dishes from locals, which I create at home.On my journeys, I give workshops, training and volunteer.The type of travel, my international network, my experiences and the languages I can communicate in have opened doors and helped me offer truly personalised private tours and experiences in Montreal.I was President Emeritus and current Executive Board Member of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations.The international organisation representing tourist guides worldwide, and I have been involved since 1993.My international involvement with colleagues who are local experts & private guides worldwide has taught me to continuously observe, improve, learn, and share experiences to be a better guide and to share knowledge with others.I was also president twice of our local tourist guide association in Montreal and continue to be an active member.Testimonials are available, including some from magazines, newspapers, TV and radio productions that I have been featured in.They include National Geographic Traveller, Australian TV, The Amazing Race, Boston Globe, The Guardian, The Evening Standard, BBC, and others.
