About me

I have lived in the Canadian Rockies since 1979.I owned and operated the first Snowmobile tour company in the Rockies and for one 12 year period in my time here I guided snowmobiling in the backcountry 7 days a week every winter and in the summer guided fly fishing 7 days a week on the waters of the Upper and Lower Bow River and the headwaters of the eastern slopes streams and rivers of the Rockies.I started the first fly fishing shop in the Canmore and Banff area "The Green Drake Fly Shop" which I operated from 1998 until 2003.I am a tourism and hospitality (hotel management) professional with an absolute passion for instructing and guiding fly-fishing as well as fly-fishing for my own pleasure. I started Unlimited Canmore Adventures in 2009 of which Mountain Fly-fishers (my original guide service) is one division, I resigned as Canmore's director of Tourism in 2010 and now look forward to the opening of our new fly shop prior to spring of 2014.
